7th Generation Rise is a band of like-minded Native American musicians that play what they describe as indigenous soul music that combines culturally conscious lyrics and spoken word with genres such as rock, folk, funk, contemporary and traditional. They believe in music as a tool for social change, to address environmental and universal injustices and to share and promote cultural and human diversity. The band is led by Good Shield Aguilar.
