Paola, a singer from Greece, is the performer of today's random tune, called Krivo Alitia. Born Pagona Karamitsou, Paola Foka came from a musical heritage as both of her parents were musicians. Alexis Kalofolias, known as Alex K., is a ripper bass player and vocalist for the Greek garage punk band called The Last Drive. On this song, he is joined by former The Last Drive guitarist Thanos Amorginos. His Father's Strut: Xylouris White and "Psarandonis Syrto"

Today's random tune is by an unlikely duo called Xylouris White. Greek Cretan singer and laouto player Giorgios Xylouris is paired up with Australian drummer Jim White in this song, Psarandonis Syrto. Xylouris, from a musical family, was taught by his uncle to play the laouto, a Cretan instrument, from a young age, and was performing and recording as early as the age of eleven. While the laouto has been generally considered an accompanying instrument, Xylouris performs it solo. Jim White is a drummer best known for his work in the Australian instrumental rock band Dirty Three. As a duo, Xylouris White's music combines free jazz, avant-garde rock and Greek traditional music. You can find Psarandonis Syrto on their 2014 debut album Goats. Psarandonis is the name of Xylouris' father.

Today's random tune is by Alexis Kalofolias & Thanos Amorginos. Unfortunately, today is one of those rare days that I can't find any information on the artists.
