If you don't have that going in your living room when you play the song, just pretend that you are in a club with a lot of bodies grinding around you. Balkan Beat is by Cop & Thief, which is a DJ or a pair of DJs from Italy. But I'm not too sure because I can only find minimal information on them on the web. The tune is heavy on the beat like a club tune, with lots of Balkan brass thrown in. You can find Balkan Beat on The Balkan Club Night #2 (2011).

Today's song is straight from the Balkans. Balkan City is a mixed mashup by King Chronic vs. Barrio Populaire and featuring Las Balkanieras. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about King Chronic or Barrio Populaire, but I was able to track down information about Las Balkanieras, a trio of three women from Croatia, Bosnia and Poland and residing in Germany. To quote their website: "...To conquer the world they combine an appealing appearance with references to their cultural heritage and a charming view on the nowadays role of women in general…" You can find Balkan City on the first disc of the various artists compilation The Balkan Club Night #2 (2011).

Some Balkan brass in a nice swinging beat for the random tune today. While I assume that Pozorek is a DJ, I can't find any information about him online...I can't even find what country he is from. Anyway, enjoy this tune, Belly Off, from the 2011 compilation The Balkan Club Night Vol 2.

Eat the Wings First: [dunkelbunt] with Raf MC and Fanfare Ciocarlia and "The Chocolate Butterfly"

Today's random tune is by Ulf Lindemann, who goes by the stage name [dunkelbunt]. A German freelance musician, producer, bandleader and DJ, he is considered a pioneer in the fusion of electronic music with South European music, klezmer, jazz and swing. He is joined by Tanzanian artist Raf MC and Fanfare Ciocarlia, a 12 person Roma brass band known for their rendition of Born to be Wild on the film Borat. You can find this song, The Chocolate Butterfly, on the CD The Balkan Club Night (2011).

Jason Rivas is a professional DJ who began his career in the 1990s and has released over 300 records as a producer of house music for various labels. I've Been There: Riva Starr feat. Nôze and "I Was Drunk"

Riva Starr is the stage name of East London DJ, producer and studio owner Stefano Miele. A native of Naples, he put in extensive time as a highly sought-after DJ on some of the world's biggest stages. He's opened for Jamiroquai, collaborated with Fatboy Slim and earned praises from Gilles Peterson. Not just a DJ, he often takes music put out by original artists down other paths entirely. This song, I Was Drunk, is from his 2009 album If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade. It can also be found on the 2011 compilation The Balkan Club Night #2. It features Nôze, a duo made up of French musicians Nicolas Sfintescu and Ezechiel Pailhès that explores the fusion of electronic music with jazz and classical music elements.

I Dub Thee Balkan: La Cherga and "Rembetiko (Shazalakazoo Remix)"

La Cherga, a group of Yugoslavian ex-pats based in Graz, Austria bring's us the random tune for today called Rembetiko. The song is remixed by Shazalakazoo, a two member electronic act from Belgrade, Serbia. La Cherga is a live sound system that fuses traditional Balkan brass and accordion seamlessly with dub. Rembetiko (Shazalakazoo Remix) can be found on La Cherga's 2010 album Fake No More Remixes. It can also be found on the Balkan Club Night #2 compilation CD (2011).

Mystery Group: PPSH and "Balkanize (Original Mix)"

A little dance music for our random tune today. Balkanize (Original Mix) is by PPSH, I can't find much about the band, so you'll just have to listen to and move to the music. You can find Balkanize (Original Mix) on The Balkan Club Night #2 [Disc 2] (2011)

Serbian Dance Party: Milan Nikolić and "Milioni"

How about some dance music for today's random tune? Milioni is by Milan Nikolić and the Balkan Beat Orchestra. Milan Nikolić (not to be confused with the soccer player) is a Serbian accordionist who was Serbia's 2009 entry in the Eurovision song contest, making it to the second semifinal. You can find Milioni on the compilation CD The Balkan Club Night #2 (2011).
