A blog about world and global music from a guy who co-hosts the KUNM Global Music Show, 89.9 FM Albuquerque/Santa Fe, http://www.kunm.org. I post one song a day, with reflections on the music, life, and whatever else comes into my mind.

But Can He Get Down: Pascuala Ilabaca and Fauna with "Hombre Sube al Árbol"
Today's random tune is by Pascuala Ilabaca and her band Fauna, and is called Hombre Sube al Árbol (Man Climbs a Tree). Born in Spain but hailing from Chile, Pascuala Ilabaca is a singer-songwriter who was part of the group Samadi, which translates a number of different styles of ethnic music. Ilabaca studied music in India in 2008-2009, and is a great admirer of the great Chilean singer-songwriter Violeta Parra. She is noted for her voice, and her instruments are accordion and piano. Hombre Sube al Árbol can be found on her 2015 album Rey Loj.
Listen to songs like this and more on the KUNM Global Music Show every Monday night from 10 pm - 1 am Mountain Standard Time. Live streaming, program information and the two-week digital archive can be found at http://www.kunm.org.
